I have no words for this creation. It is just simply out of this world delicious. If you’re a chocolate lover (like myself), then you will absolutely adore this recipe. In fact, feed it to your chocaholic friend/s and see what they think.
Note: Send me the love they send you when their crappy/ sugary/ full of nothing-good-for-them store bought chocolate addiction is changed ….to this type of chocolate (the good for them kind of stuff!).
Chocolate Buckwheat Porridge
1/2 cup buckwheat (soaked either overnight, and rinsed OR soaked for 10 minutes in 1/2 cup boiling water and rinsed)
2/3 cup almond/ rice/ coconut milk
1/3 cup coconut water
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 tablespoon rice malt
1 tablespoon cacao butter shavings
1 heaped teaspoon raw cacao powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
Add all of the ingredients into a saucepan. Gently bring to the boil. Turn down the heat and simmer gently for 20-25 minutes, until the liquid has significantly reduced and the buckwheat is al dente (still has a slight bite- not completely soft and mushy). Pour into a bowl and serve with strawberries and seasonal fruit. Serves 1.
