The last few weeks have been nothing short of hectic for me. It goes without saying that getting an ebook ready for the beautifying stage, working full time and pouring your heart and soul into your business can get rather chaotic. And chaotic my life recently got.
I put my head down, bottom up and drove the copy for my ebook home. Long hours at the computer, late nights, early morning rises to catch the ‘writers wave’ of most inspiring lingo and fresh perspectives. Those things I love doing – and need to be doing to keep my body humming with vibrancy and inspiration, slipped away. Fast.
I too have those moments when life just sucks me into the vortex of craziness, which resulted in one heck of a burnt out babe.
My coach the other day asked me what I could do. Surely I know. It’s my lifeblood. I drew one long heck of a silence (that would make many coaches freak out). Yet my coach let me ride it, feel it, lean into it. And I’m glad I did, because one of my favourite ways to re-invigroate my soul came bubbling up to the surface.
“I need to look at my love list” was my wide smiling answer. And wow oh wow I felt like I was (coming) home.
I go into depth about love lists in my upcoming ebook ‘Be Free’, but simply a love list is a list of activities and every day activities, which you love doing. You do them because they make you feel everything you desire to feel. Think bliss, self loving, radiant, energised.
One of my favourite activities on my love list is getting out of the shower and smothering onto my body my favourite moisturiser. I do a body love massage most nights, which you can read more about here and here. Some other days a herbal tea in the sunshine before the world wakes is satisfying or diving into a good book (I am also an absolute lover of writing little love notes- my clients will agree!).
The key is that a love list does not need to be full of activities which are expensive or big stuff (e.g. eating at that new hipster restaurant). Take joy in doing the every day stuff you love with presence and awareness. Whatever you do, take consistent action and honestly you will notice your life change shape.
